“European Youth Capital”, Veliaj with entrepreneurs of Tirana bars and restaurants: “Let’s turn this year into an opportunity to promote Tirana”

“In the Year of Youth we are operating as ‘Open Source’, where everyone gets the logo of the European Youth Capital and organizes their activity. So to function as open source, where everyone designs a certain program. This meeting is also an invitation and an opportunity to cooperate so that this year turns into a promotion for Tirana, but also your enterprises, “said Veliaj.

He especially emphasized the nightclubs, where, according to him, a large part of the capital’s economy is generated. “A lot of people today consider nightclubs as something fun, but not significant. Probably because they do not know the fact that 10 thousand girls and boys work in this industry; it’s not just bartenders and waiters, but it’s a lot of people who do not show up, like the kitchen, security, hygiene, taxis, etc., so it’s a chain reaction. “When you look at how big this chain is, then you understand what weight it has in the country’s economy,” Veliaj declared.

The mayor invited entrepreneurs to mark an activity in their calendar, taking occasion from the biggest cultural events of the year planned by the municipality, such as the Maluma concert, or the concerts of two singers Dua Lipa and Rita Ora. “On March 14, we have Maluma in Tirana. We are talking to Dua Lipa and Rita Ora to see their possible dates. “But in addition to the big events, I would be very happy to see some smaller events from you,” he said.

We have opened a call for projects until January 28, where we are ready to finance one of the premises that will organize a “street party”, a restaurant that brings a tasting event; So, we are very ready to finance events that bring your businesses to attention, ”Veliaj concluded his speech.
