Speech of the General Director of the State Chief Police Gledis Nano, during the annual analysis of the work done by the structures of the Local Police Directorate of Berat.
“I am glad to hear positive evaluations regarding the results of the work of the Local Police Directorate of Berat. The figures speak clearly, speak for themselves.
As mentioned by the Director of Police, the fact that no murder took place, has to do with the preventive force of this police, in connection with these serious criminal offenses, which are a very significant indicator in the public safety of all citizens and for this it is worth congratulating all the staff of your directorate.
Likewise, the results in terms of prosecuting, preventing or documenting other criminal offenses are good. Cooperation, as mentioned, is at the highest levels, and I feel good about that. What we must aim for during 2022, without forgetting the good results we had during 2021, in the region of Berat, is to increase the preventive force, the force against crime in all areas and typologies of crimes that the problematic region has , thus increasing the trust with the citizens, who are our ally and are not in this room today.
I am very convinced that the Local Police Directorate of Berat will continue and will have many results in the future and just as Berat is actually a museum city, so it will be a museum city or reflect these values in the report. with security and order in the city, not only for the citizens of Berat, but for all tourists who come and visit the whole region, not only the city.
So, I once again congratulate all of you, because all the work has been done by you, by your staff, and these thanks also go to the staff you work with. I encourage you to work even harder to increase the results, as you can not be complacent with what we have achieved so far, but we should also aim to ask even more to ourselves first and then to partners or other institutions law enforcement or intelligence with whom we cooperate, to achieve our goal.
