The epidemiological situation in Kosovo is worrying, which has forced the Committee for Coordination and Assessment of the situation to come up with new restrictive measures.
After the meeting, the Minister of Health, Rifat Latifi stated that they are talking about new restrictive measures, where the closure of the premises at 22:00 is being considered, Telegrafi reports.
“There will be a change of measures. They will be in balance with keeping schools open, the economy open. Everyone needs to be vaccinated, we have enough vaccines, it is more important that we all get vaccinated. It is very likely that the premises will close at 22:00. We will send the proposals to the Government today “, stressed Minister Latifi.
The Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, also spoke about the situation with Covid 9, explaining that in recent days some schools in the country have switched to the C scenario of teaching, the ‘online’, as explained by the local media. She said they are interested in keeping schools open. On Wednesday, 2050 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Kosovo. Authorities have urged citizens to abide by anti-Covid measures, announcing that the “Omicron” variant of the coronavirus has already become the dominant variant in the country.
In Kosovo, the measures taken during the last year are still in force, according to which after 24:00 until 05:00 the curfew enters into force, while, from January 3 in Kosovo can enter only citizens who have receive two doses of vaccine against this disease.
