The police operation codenamed “STORM” is finalized.
Two attempted murders are revealed, two thefts of vehicles and thefts of personal belongings and wallet of a citizen returning from Germany.
5 citizens are handcuffed, 1 citizen is declared wanted and 2 others are prosecuted at large.
Various clothing suspected of being used to commit thefts, two stolen vehicles, stolen license plates, a shotgun, ammunition, 13 mobile phones and other stolen items were seized.
As part of the investigative work to uncover criminal events that occurred before, as a result of uninterrupted police and procedural work for several weeks, using special investigative methods, from the Sector of Serious Crimes against Life and Property in the Local Police Directorate Tirana, Special Operations Force Sector in DVP Tirana, in cooperation with the Crime Investigation Section in Kurbin Police Commissariat (DVP Lezha), supported by Special Forces FNSH and RENEA, under the direction of the Tirana and Kurbin Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office, is successfully finalized the police operation codenamed “STORM”.
As a result of this operation, it has become possible to apprehend and detain citizens:
– Ibrahim Difaj, 31 years old, resident of Kurbin;
– Damjan (Besmir) Lleshaj (Prela), 34 years old, resident in Mamuras, Kurbin, previously convicted of theft;
– Robert Laci, 52 years old, resident of Fushë-Krujë;
– Ilirian Feçi, 47 years old, resident of Durrës, convicted in Italy, for bank robbery and drug trafficking;
The citizen Erion Mulaj, 30 years old, resident in Durrës, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
The following citizens were prosecuted at large: MM, 67 years old, resident in Durrës and EV, 30 years old, resident in Kurbin.
Also, the citizen Shpetim Kraja, 35 years old, resident in Shkodra, was declared wanted for the criminal offense “Theft”.
From the work done so far it results that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, at different times and places, are suspected perpetrators of the following events:
– “Attempted murder of police officers” committed in collaboration, “Illegal possession of weapons”, “Disobedience to the order of a police officer”, an event that occurred on 14.01.2022, in Fushë-Krujë, suspected perpetrator whose citizens are Ibrahim Difaj, Shpetim Kraja and citizen EV
On 14.01.2022, in Qafë Kashar, the Police services made a stop sign to a vehicle, the driver of which did not stop and left in the direction of Fushë Krujë. In an attempt to leave, the vehicle collided with a curb and the persons in the vehicle came out firing at the police officers and taking advantage of the darkness, left and abandoned the vehicle.
– The “attempted murder” of the citizen A. Gj., Occurred on 17.08.2021, in a place called the Adriatic village, Fushë Kuqe. Suspected perpetrators of this event are citizens Ibrahim Difaj, Ilirian Feçi and Robert Laci.
On 17.08.2021, the citizens Ibrahim Difaj and Ilirian Feçi, against the payment of 20,000 euros, made by the citizen Robert Laci, tried to kill the citizen A. Gj.
– Theft of the vehicle type “Mercedes-Benz”, owned by the citizen IM, occurred on 11.01.2022 in Vora. The suspected perpetrators are citizens Ibrahim Difaj and Shpetim Kraja.
– Theft of the vehicle type “Volkswagen Touran”, owned by the citizen JM, occurred on 25.01.2021, in the neighborhood no. 5 Laç, Kurbin. The suspected perpetrators are citizens Ibrahim Difaj and Shpetim Kraja.
– Theft of the belongings of the citizen AD, on 25.01.2021, around 05:00, on the highway, at the Patoku underpass, in the neighborhood no. 6 Laç, Kurbin. After getting off the bus he had come from Germany, the citizens stole his wallet and a mobile phone. The suspected perpetrators are citizens Ibrahim Difaj and Shpetim Kraja.
– Theft of some food products in the shop of the citizen KC, on 26.01.2022, in the place called Malbardhe-Fushë, Milot. The suspected perpetrators are citizens Ibrahim Difaj and Shpetim Kraja.
The materials were forwarded for further investigation to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Tirana, in charge of the citizens:
– Ibrahim Difaj, Damjant Lleshaj and Shpëtim Kraja, for the criminal offenses of “Murder of attempted police officers, committed in collaboration,” Illegal possession of weapons “,” Disobedience to the order of a police officer “and” Theft “;
– Erion Mulaj, for the criminal offenses “Production and sale of narcotics” and “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition”;
EV, for the criminal offense “Failure to report a crime”;
– MoD for the criminal offense “Illegal production and possession of hunting and sporting weapons.”
The materials were also forwarded for further investigation to the Prosecution at the Kurbin Court of First Instance, in charge of the citizens:
– Ibrahim Difaj, Ilirian Feçi and Robert Laci, for the criminal offenses “Premeditated murder” committed in collaboration, attempted “,” Illegal possession of weapons “, as well as in charge of the citizen Ibrahim Difaj and the citizen declared wanted Rescue Kraja, for the criminal offenses “Theft” committed in collaboration, more than once.
