These were the first years that the first tank brigades were formed in Albania in Fier, Vora, Sauk, Elbasan, Korca and Berat.
Kujtim Hysi, then a recent graduate of the tank school in Zallher, would be assigned to serve in Fier, exactly where today they lie covered in rust and thorns left at the mercy of fate 5 out of 1100 tanks that then served the Albanian army.
To own a tank, Kujtim says you need to have knowledge of artillery, chemistry and electrical grid. The Albanian army was divided into 3 fronts, the corps of Fier had to defend the coastline with Italy. And while our army was capable of facing the enemies, Kujtim with his lips on the gas says that the fact that there was no aggression is known only to them, the leaders and the god.
The most difficult moments Kujtimi shows that it was the case when during the tank training 3 of his friends lost their lives.
