Specialists of Economic and Financial Crime Investigation of DVP Elbasan, based on the information provided by the police for a citizen who smuggled hydrocarbons in our country, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed “Diesel”.
In the framework of this operation, he was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses “Smuggling of goods subject to excise duty or with full or partial suspension of customs or excise duties”, “Storage or storage of smuggled goods” and “Concealment of income ”, citizen:
-YK, 53 years old, resident in the village of Qukës, Prrenjas.
During the control in the warehouse of the subject (bar-restaurant), owned by this citizen, 1250 liters of fuel were found and seized as material evidence, which are suspected to have been smuggled in our country.
From the investigative actions it has resulted that this citizen has smuggled quantities of hydrocarbons in our country, which he has deposited in the premises of his subject and then he has traded them hiding the income.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Elbasan Court of First Instance, for further action.
