Covid infection is declining significantly in Albania as well.
The number of active cases has decreased by almost 44% compared to mid-January when it was thought to be the peak of infection and there is also a decrease in positivity, ie cases that were positive compared to the number of tests performed.
According to epidemiologist Ilir Alimehmeti, it is time for the technical committee of experts to release the measures, as is happening in many European countries.
Especially the lifting of the movement restriction, which is currently from 6am to 11pm. While it can be left as a limitation only for nightclubs where the crowds are large. Another reason why the committee should repeal them is that no one respects them, so they just remained on paper. Another positive indicator with the Covid situation is that the situation in hospitals is stable, so there is no increase because the vaccines have worked.
According to Alimehmet, studies have shown that the combination of vaccines is very effective.
But which resulted in the most effective vaccine against Omicron which was allegedly ignored? Alimehmeti says Sputnik was better than Pfizer.
Although on the decline doctors insist that no one will escape without being affected by Omicron, even for the second time in a short time, but with the vaccine it passes like a simple flu.
