Message from the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta
I welcome the European Parliament Resolution that clearly and unequivocally condemns Russian aggression against Ukraine!
The adoption by 637 votes of this resolution that affects all political, economic, diplomatic, humanitarian, legal aspects, as well as the tragic consequences that the escalation of the situation may cause, proves solidarity and European unity in the face of the danger that threatens not only Ukraine but also Europe and the free and democratic world.
I welcome the increased attention of the European Parliament to our region as well, which should increase our vigilance against any attempt at instability by unfriendly actors. I call on the Albanian Parliament through a resolution to clearly and without delay express its will against the invasion of Ukraine, similar to other NATO and EU countries!
