France will take over the accommodation of 10 thousand Ukrainian refugees.
The news was given by French government spokesman Gabriel Attal, who said that the French national defense council has activated an inter-ministerial unit to prepare and coordinate the arrival of Ukrainian refugees in France.
French Minister Marlene Schiappa said 5,000 Ukrainians had already arrived in France. She pointed out that a website has been set up for French people where they can write if they want to volunteer to host Ukrainian families fleeing the war.
“Today, nothing indicates a quick end to this tragic war. Russian military bombings and maneuvers may intensify in the coming days and weeks“, Said Attal.
According to her, our concern is definitely at its highest levels.
