Turkey has registered another 7,857 cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, including 635 symptomatic patients.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country has exceeded 2.63 million, of which 27,983 have died, including 80 victims within the last day.
Also, another 7,210 patients have been cured of the virus, bringing to over 2.51 million the total number of cured patients, previously tested positive for coronavirus.
Over 32.21 million suspected COVID-19 tests have been performed in Turkey since the pandemic broke out, with 118,911 tests performed over the past day.
Recent figures show that the number of patients affected by COVID-19 who are in critical condition dropped to 1,180.
Earlier in the day, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that Turkey would gradually begin normalizing and lifting measures against COVID-19 from March 1st.
Turkey launched the vaccination campaign on January 14th, starting with health workers along with senior officials, to encourage people to have confidence in vaccination.
