Birds that live closer to the equator are more colorful than those that live near the poles.
Charles Darwin’s original idea that the closer we get to the Equator the more colorful the birds are has recently been supported by a new study.
The scientists, who studied photos of more than 24,000 birds, found that those closer to the equator are more colorful than birds that live closer to the poles.
The photos from the collection of the Museum of Natural History of the United Kingdom in Hertfordshire, were analyzed with the help of artificial intelligence.
Darwin was one of the first people to popularize the theory of evolution – the school of thought that says that living things change over time and adapt in order to survive in their environment.
