In the next 24 hours is expected to arrive in Ukraine, US aid in arms worth $ 800 million.
US officials announced that the aid would be left at the border and received there by the Ukrainians.
President Biden’s administration has announced that the aid includes helicopters, kamikaze drones, anti-tank weapons and much more, so it is a package of paramount importance.
This development comes at a time when earlier in the week, Russia formally protested against the continued shipment of weapons from the US to Ukraine, sending a diplomatic note to the State Department warning of “unpredictable consequences” if support continues.
CNN reports that the United States believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s risk tolerance has increased and that he may be willing to take more aggressive action against the United States in response to its support for Ukraine.
Asked to comment on the development, a US official said: “We will not confirm any private diplomatic correspondence. What we can confirm is that, together with our allies and partners, we are providing Ukraine with billions of dollars in security assistance, which our Ukrainian partners are using with tremendous effect to defend their country against unprovoked aggression. of Russia and horrific acts of violence. “
