Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov met and presented awards to soldiers in Moschun, a village north of Kiev that suffered heavy casualties and played an important role in repelling Russian forces.
“I met with soldiers in the Kiev region in Moschun completely destroyed. Here the invaders used all possible weapons, including missiles and aircraft. Thanks to our soldiers, thanks to the brave inhabitants of the village, they were defeated. “After suffering heavy losses, the occupiers were forced to flee to Belarus,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
Moschun was vital to the Ukrainians repelling Russian progress toward Kiev.
