Marco Verratti demands a “ceasefire” from the Paris Saint-Germain fans and calls on them to forget the match against Real Madrid, which eliminated them in the 1/8 round of the Champions League.
In the press conference given after mathematically securing the Ligue 1 title, the midfielder stressed that it is time to leave behind what happened to Real and celebrate the trophy.
“I know the fans are still disappointed with the loss against Real Madrid, but at some point we have to move on. Fans are people just like us, they have the right to do what they think is right, but they need to know that we, the players always give everything on the field. Only one team wins the Champions League each year, a great team. “PSG will continue to try, but in the meantime this Ligue 1 is an important trophy that will forever remain in our hearts.”declared the Italian a day after the Parisians secured the championship title in Saturday’s match against Lens, which ended in a 1-1 draw, with the goal scored by Lionel Messi for PSG.
