As a result of the control, another case of this criminal activity was hit.
The police operation codenamed “Zimaj” is finalized. 520 suspected cannabis sativa narcotic seedlings are found and destroyed.
The suspected perpetrator of this criminal activity is declared wanted.
The mayor of Zimaj village and an environmental guard specialist are being prosecuted at large for abuse of office.
Following the work to prevent, identify and crack down on criminal activity in the field of cultivation of narcotic plants, the police services of the Lezha Police Commissariat have continued detailed territorial controls, proactive investigations in cooperation with the Lezha Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office, and the use of drones, where they have finalized the police operation codenamed “Zimaj”.
As a result, in the village of Zimaj, Ungrej Administrative Unit, Lezha district, 520 suspected cannabis sativa seedlings were found to have been cultivated, which were destroyed by burning.
Following the actions, the citizen PL, 45 years old, suspected perpetrator of cultivation, was declared wanted.
Also, citizens DD, 56 years old, acting mayor of Zimaj village and citizen PN, 55 years old, acting specialist – environmental guard, were prosecuted at large, as suspects for consuming elements of the criminal offense “Abuse of duty” .
Work continues to fully document this criminal activity and bring the suspected perpetrators to justice.
The procedural materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Lezha Judicial District Court, for further actions.
