Russia is seceding from the EU and President Putin is using all means, including disinformation, to ensure survival and fight the opposition, EU High Representative Josep Borrell tweeted.
“Europe’s liberal and democratic values are seen by the Moscow government as a threat to its very existence,” he added.
Borell stressed that next week the list of Russian officials who will be affected by European sanctions may become operational, reports ATSh.
Moreover, for Borrell, the EU calls for stronger action against disinformation and cyber-attacks by Russia.
“With Moscow, it is necessary to find a ‘modus vivendi’ to address issues, from Iranian nuclear energy, to climate, to energy supplies. “I think EU leaders will talk about this at the summit in late March.”
