The head of the Bar Association in Korça, Arben Lena in a statement to the media stressed that the new court map endangers the increase of self-judgment.
“The map assumes a total removal of the Korça district, removing the Court of Appeals, the Administrative Court of First Instance and that of the Pogradec district, and we will have only the court of the Korça judicial district. Access to justice that is guaranteed by the European Charter of Human Rights guaranteed by our Constitution for the layers which are below the average level of income, for victims of violence, trafficking, marginalized layers will be very difficult. If until now someone could have filed a claim and appeared in court and had the opportunity to come with some small expenses, now the expenses will be huge and he will think of leaving the case unresolved. There will be an increase in self-judgments, it is known that these layers have emphasized the principle of self-judgments, this map failed in ’98 and it seems that we are going from failure to failure“, He said.
