Police are going through a torturous challenge in uncovering mafia assassinations or premeditated murders. Despite the investigative tracks that are set up immediately after the events, the murders remain without author.
Murders in the family or those for weak motives are mostly exposed.
Only during this year in Tirana there have been 4 murders and only one of them has been uncovered that happened for poor motives in a bar. The latest assassination attempt was on June 11 against Aleksandër Sadikaj, who lost his life after his car exploded while moving with explosives. The main track of the investigation is the murder for drug conflicts but the police do not have a name for the executor.
On April 3, Iliaz Cali was shot dead on the Tirana-Durrës highway. Police suspected that the murder took place due to the chrome conflicts while the other track of the investigation was the clash between the two criminal groups but could not go to the name of the executors. The murder of Erjon Çela on January 4 of this year was on the verge of a terrorist event. When the assassins fired volleys at the bar in Don Bosko where the victim was sitting. In the event, 4 other people were injured, among them a 19-year-old, who was accidentally at the scene. After the event, the perpetrators disappeared without a trace, leaving no cartridges behind.
Also unsolved are the murders that took place at the end of 2021, of two young men Erigers Mihasi and Armand Dumani that took place on November 13 in the area of Astiri. The youths were shot at as they were traveling by car on a moving axis. The non-disclosure of this event followed another murder a few weeks later on December 23 of Çan Karriç in Koder-Kamza. The young man was assassinated while driving in the neighborhood where he had just risen from a cafe. Investigators suspect that Karrici and the 2 young people killed in Astir were part of the same criminal group, but even though 6 months have passed, the names of the perpetrators remain an enigma.
The situation is the same not only in Tirana, but also in other cities. In Vlora we mention unsolved the murders of Delon Troqe, Bledar Birçaj and Gentian Qarri. In Shkodra we mention the murder of Neim Bajri, Nazmi Bandulla and Bardhok Pllanaj, in Laç the murder of Rakip the role of Xhelal Reçi, in Fier the murder of Demir Baçka in Lushnja of Bledar Muça in Saranda of Gramoz Memaj and in Elbasan the murder of Everest Çaka and Lulzim Bitri of Ardian Çollaku.
The broken thread of investigations by the police and the prosecution in the investigation of several criminal events has often led to a chain of murders that are likely to follow.
