In the next meeting of the lawyers of Korça, where the head of the National Chamber of Advocates, Maks Haxhia, was also present, the decision was made that in addition to the boycott of criminal, civil and administrative hearings, the reaction would escalate by boycotting the security measures.
The head of the Korça Bar Association, Arben Lena, said that on these two dates, none of the lawyers on the standby list will appear in the hearings on security measures. We, said Lena, have informed the relevant authorities about this decision and we are facing the consequences.
Maks Haxhia stated that the position of the Chambers of Advocacy is in unity and it is not true that there is division.
“We are in support of the attitudes of lawyers who have reacted by boycotting the hearings. “But I also call on experts in various fields, psychologists, local government, MPs and citizens to join our response, because the court map affects everyone.”
