A touching story was told tonight by Pastor Akil Pano in the studio of “Top Story” while discussing the decision taken in the US for abortion.
Pano said in his faith community he is acquainted with a couple who were expecting their second child when the woman is complicated by mental health. After the baby was born, the father had taken her and knocked on the pastor’s door, as he could not hold her. Pano points out that after caring for the newborn for two weeks, they hired a foster family.
The tragedy did not end there, as after some time the baby’s father passed away, leaving the other child alone. Both of them have been taken into the care of a family, while today the Pastor says, they are adults and ‘beautiful stars’.
“I have a case of family tone. In our faith community, a couple, the woman expecting her second child, complicates her life even in the dimension of mental health. We take her to the hospital when people with mental problems are treated and immediately take her to the maternity ward because she was expecting a baby. The child is born, the next day they take the woman, they are forced to separate her from the child and take her back to the hospital. The father takes the baby and brings the baby to us. He knocks on the door, puts it in the baby’s basket. Says the pastor, I did not know what to say. He said I had nowhere to take him. We take the girl, 24 hours after she was born, we take her and take care of her for two weeks. In cooperation with institutions and we employ a family that becomes foster parents. Later, a disaster strikes, the young father dies of cancer, and his two children are left completely in a situation. Now 10 years have passed, the children are beautiful star weeks. Meanwhile, the family that is employed by the church, takes care of both children. The mother has returned to her family because she was unable to care“, Pano showed.
