A 38-year-old man was handcuffed in Selenica, after holding a family hostage for several hours, threatening them with a gun.
V. Ç., 38 years old, a resident of the village of Vajze in Vlora, with a previous criminal record in the field of theft, was arrested.
The event happened on July 16 in the early hours of the morning, in the place called “Koria e Rigoni”, in the village of Brataj in Seleënica.

Under the threat of a gun, it is suspected that the 38-year-old held the family members of this family hostage for about 4 hours, tying the two husbands with ropes and isolating the minor children in a room.
During the time that this citizen stayed in the apartment, it is suspected that he sexually harassed the citizen YF and her three minor daughters, as well as forcibly stole the amount of 36,900 ALL from them.
“A shotgun, a sum of money and the clothes that the author allegedly used while committing the crime were seized. The services of the Selenica Police Station, after receiving the notification that in the village of Brataj, in a residence, a sum of money had been violently stolen and the family living there had been threatened, immediately organized the work in order to identify and bring the perpetrator to legal responsibility. Following the intensive investigative actions, based on the collected evidence and the information received during the operation, the coded police operation “Brataj” was organized and finalized. As material evidence, a shotgun, a sum of money and clothes which the author is suspected to have used during the commission of the crime were seized. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of Vlora, for further actions“, according to the police.
