Although almost 4 months have passed since the beginning of the new school year, teachers have not yet received official registers from the Ministry of Education but on the other hand the government has brought an innovation to Albanian schools with the creation of a pre-university information management system that will serve in some way as an online registry.
“A database system that will dump school information: starting with teachers, their qualifications, we continue with data on classes, number of students, curricula, curricula, ie any data that belongs to an educational institution. If you used to fill them in by hand, now you fill them in online “, said the director of the Vëllazërimi school, Merita Prenga.
As the General Directorate of Education confirms to Top Channel that this virtual platform does not replace paper registers, does this increase the work of teachers?
“Maybe we all said a lot at the beginning. I will not say that work is not added. WORK IS INCREASING, but it is more concrete. Teachers are tireless and will find patience. “Maybe for the slightly older age of teachers they will have difficulties to adapt”, said Prenga.
Meanwhile, teachers have started training on the use of the system which will be administered by the center of educational services, while in addition to educational specialists will have access to two key factors: teachers and parents.
“Parents will be closer to their children, our students. “They will see the assessments and absences in record time”, said Prenga.
