With much suffering and 10 players, Real Madrid managed to overturn Elchen after 120 minutes of play by qualifying for the quarterfinals of the King’s Cup in Spain.
Los Blancos did not excel in the transfer to Elche and despite the chances created, the regular time ended goalless.
The additions did not start very well for Los Blancos as in the 102nd minute Marcelo left Los Blancos with one player less on the field after being penalized as the last player.
Through the standard kick caused by Marcelo, Verdu passed Elchen to the advantage. However Ancelotti’s team did not give up and in the second addition scored twice with two of this season’s failures Isco and Eden Hazard getting a suffering but very valuable qualification.
