The village of Sektor, Seman, in Fier, continues to be abandoned day by day. There are very few families left in this village today, the loyal inhabitants of this village are the elderly, as the young people have emigrated.
Residents point out that a good part of the agricultural lands have remained barren, and this has been affected not only by the lack of labor force, but also by the high prices of plowing, milling, chemical fertilizers and seedlings, which adds to the economic difficulties.
“The land is not cultivated with votes, the price of oil has doubled and the chemical fertilizers and seeds have doubled, so the young people have been forced to leave the village”, say the residents /
The agricultural tools that were supposed to be working the land today are found all over the village covered in grass and rust, and some farmers have even turned them into shelves to place flower pots or to change clothes.
Today the village has only one kindergarten, which is attended by a few children, while with the adults they go to school in another area, their wish is to one day leave this place.
