Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu announced today that he will help the Ukrainian capital Kiev, with 8 million dollars.
In a video call with Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko, he indicated that the donation included $ 3 million for the Kiev government and an additional $ 5 million for six local hospitals.
This is the fourth time Taiwan has sent aid to the devastated country since the start of the war.
Wu said Russia’s invasion of Ukraine not only caused great harm to the Ukrainian people, but also threatened the international order and the democratic community.
Klitschko thanked him for the donation from the Taiwanese government and people, stressing that peace can only begin when the last Russian soldier leaves Ukraine.
