The President of the Albanian National Olympic Committee, Fidel Ylli in an interview on the Top Story show on Top Channel also commented on the fans who came from all over the world to watch the Conference League match in Tirana.
He said that the fans came with negative thoughts about Albania and left with the most positive impressions.
“It became a Conference League that was never imagined in the years before we had a stadium where 100 thousand people from all over Europe came, came to mind that Albania is a country of drugs and saw that Albania is a European country and left differently. This is the sport and this is the Olympic Weightlifting Committee that did the activities, the athletics that did the European Championship that brought in 500 athletes, the taekwondo federation. Let’s not forget that Tirana is the European capital of Youth, we have brought dozens of athletes, hotels have been full, this is what sport does, this policy does not make it barren, which is in this country, does not make any other field, sport is the best image this country has that we can honor“, Said Ylli.
