From Sunday, Albania, Northern Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and a number of other countries, due to the high numbers of new coronavirus infections, Germany will again categorize them in the list of high risk countries .
This is stated by the Robert Koch Institute, while the exception from the list of risk in the Western Balkans is only Kosovo.
High-risk areas are places or regions where the number of infected during the past seven days has been over 100 for every 1000 inhabitants. This is the main criterion, but there are others as well, such as high rate of spread, hospitalization rate or low testing rate.
In addition to the Balkans, over 60 other countries have been added to the list of risk areas, including many European countries.
Starting on Sunday, travelers who have been to one of the list locations in the last ten days must first register on a digital portal.
Already to enter Germany, if you are unvaccinated you need a negative tampon and 10 days quarantine. The German government allows travelers to quarantine within five days if the buffer is negative, while children up to the age of 6 only need a five-day quarantine.
