The new chairman of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, Enkeled Alibeaj has presented in general points this Monday what the Democrats consider as the most important to be followed in the second session of the tenth legislature of the Albanian Parliament.
In his speech, Alibeaj stressed that nothing has changed in this hall since April 25, because according to him, this parliament does not represent the voice of Albanians, or as he considered, the plight of Albanians.
“This is a stolen, robbed parliament,” he said.
According to him, today’s challenge of the Democratic Party is to turn this hall into a place where the voice of Albanians is spoken. He said the latter today are stolen and completely hopeless.
“It is my obligation to bring the voice of Albanians here. The battle of all Albanians is to have a battle with one man, the head of the regime, Edi Rama. I would never have thought it would be a battle by Mrs. Nikola. You are in that place but we do not ask for your help. We have some problems. We have prudence, calmness, we have the political maturity even for the difficulty we are going through to solve in our family. Alibeaj also stopped at the result of April 25, which he considered as an election massacre, emphasizing that this is not just a bill that was unfairly imposed on the Democrats, but it is a bill that all Albanians are paying.
“This country does not hold free elections and it is our obligation to do everything, both outside and inside this parliament, to return the free vote to Albanians.“, Said the head of the parliamentary group of PD.
However, Alibeaj considered vetting in politics as the main issue. According to him, this is the only way to restore legitimacy in this parliament. He said that vetting in politics is the main reform for both the left and the right, adding that this is a great moral challenge that everyone must go through.
“This is the challenge. To enter this Assembly you must show that you are immune to crime and corruption. You can come in clean here, but you also have to come out that way. So screaming is the demand of Albanians today. It is they who will decide their fate. This is the first challenge and of all of us. We have accepted it, at any cost, do you accept it?
