The General Secretary, Gazmend Bardhi has said that the Democratic Party is ready for the local by-elections.
Bardhi made this statement before entering the headquarters for the National Council meeting.

Meanwhile, yesterday, President Ilir Meta appeared at a press conference and said that he has started the procedures for announcing the date of local elections in those municipalities that do not have a mayor.
Meta justified the delay in announcing the by-elections by waiting for a decision from the Constitutional Court, while announcing the immediate start of procedures by sending a letter to the CEC, asking for official information on vacancies in local government. The elections are expected to affect 6 municipalities, where the mayors have lost their mandate for various reasons.
