Three people have fallen into the hands of the Elbasan police and another has been declared wanted after being caught with an arsenal of weapons and drugs in the warehouse.
In the framework of the police operation codenamed “Start 2022”, based on the information received on the operational road that near a bar in Peqin, some people possessed firearms, the citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:
SD, 21 years old, resident in Peqin, for the criminal offenses “Production and sale of narcotics”, “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition” and “Unauthorized production, possession, purchase or sale of cold steel” ”. This citizen has previously been convicted of crimes against the person;
A. Ç., 43 years old, resident in Peqin, for the criminal offense “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition.” This citizen has previously been convicted of theft;
MD, 20 years old, resident in Peqin, for the criminal offense “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosives and ammunition.”
He was also declared wanted for the criminal offenses “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosives and ammunition” and “Illegal production, possession, purchase or sale of cold steel” citizen ET, 20 years old, resident in Peqin.
Based on the operational information gathered in the “Xhami” neighborhood of the city of Peqin, in a warehouse, they made it possible to find and seize an arsenal of weapons, namely a Kalashnikov, two pistols, a shotgun, a knife, a bayonets, a defensive grant, an incendiary, ammunition, two pairs of license plates, a small amount of narcotics and cannabis seeds.
Following the actions, three persons were arrested in flagrante delicto, who are suspected to be the possessors of weapons, because at the moment they saw the police, it is suspected that they tried to hide the weapons in the place where they were found by the police services.
The vehicle “Opel Frontera” and 1 mobile phone were also seized as material evidence. From the first investigative actions it is suspected that firearms may have been used in criminal events against life and property.
The seized weapons were sent for further action to the Scientific Police Institute in Tirana. The materials were forwarded to the Elbasan Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office for further investigative actions.
