Monika Spahivogli, from Tirana, after going through a bad period in her life, found salvation in art.
Monica with her hands can transform plastic, iron or even paper. It is able to transform an old piece of furniture into a new object.
Monika Spahivogli: Creating a postcard through postcards is very simple. When I want to send a postcard and make it myself, I do not buy it. I got these postcards with holiday design since we are in such an atmosphere. This technique is called decoupage. I do decoupage on bread napkins, on mobile and everywhere.
This is in the lampshade that Monika has made with twine, while these are some decorations for the end of the year holidays. Nothing is thrown at Monica’s house, in a few minutes she recycles it and gives it another function.
Monika Spahivogli: I have done a lot of paintings and some forgive but now no more. after my son told me that the forgiven thing is not appreciated. I used to leave my paintings on the stairs of the palace with the button “take is yours” and there I discovered that it was always taken by the same person. As for craft or handicrafts I export with everything. Close your eyes and create without knowing and myself what I will do.
The artisan says she is willing to donate her works to those people who love art like herself.
