A Normative Act, two draft laws and four draft decisions were approved this Thursday in the plenary session of the Assembly.
The normative act “On electronic ID cards of Albanian citizens” is proposed to extend the term of validity of electronic ID cards for Albanian citizens whose ID cards have expired and would participate in the local by-elections on March 6, 2022. After discussions, this normative act was approved with 105 votes in favor.
The session continued the plenary discussions with the draft law “On the organization and functioning of local action groups”. This draft law defines the basic principles, standards, responsibilities and processes for the organization and functioning of local action groups and the design and implementation of community-led development strategies, in line with agricultural and rural development policies. At the end of the discussions this draft law was approved with 71 votes in favor.
Further, the session continued with the review of the draft law “On copyright and other related rights”. Through this law, it is proposed to add, amend and adapt provisions in order to approximate the directives of the European Union and regulate the way of functioning of collective administration agencies (AAK). At the end of the discussions, this draft law was approved with 71 votes in favor.
Also, today’s plenary session approved the draft decisions: “On the election of a member for the position of Commissioner of the People’s Advocate in the Section for Protection and Promotion of Children’s Rights.”, Where Olta Aliaj was elected with 68 votes in favor.
Draft decision “On the election of a member for the position of Commissioner of the People’s Advocate in the Section of the National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture, Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment”, where Ahmet Prenci was elected with 105 votes in favor.
Draft decision “On the approval of the structure, staff and categorization of job positions of the Regulatory Entity of the Water Supply Sector and the disposal of wastewater treatment (WRA)”, which was approved by 71 votes in favor.
The draft decision for the establishment of the subcommittee “For sustainable development” was approved by 102 votes in favor.
