Bad weather has covered the entire Bay of Durrës today, while it is expected that the atmospheric conditions on the coast and sea waters will worsen further at noon, making it impossible to sail for small vehicles, especially fishing boats.
The ferries, on both sides of the Adriatic, have departed ahead of schedule to ensure timely arrival at the ports of Durres and Bari.
This morning the two ferries from Bari have arrived at the terminal, while the ferry from Ancona has started in the direction of Durrës only this morning.
The day before due to the turbulent sea the Italian port of Ancona had completely suspended navigation in anticipation of calming the situation. The ferry, which started at around 05.00 this morning, is expected to arrive at around 03.00 on Saturday in the port of Durrës, where the Captaincy has given the necessary instructions to all operators and sailors.
The maritime situation is worse in the Bay of Durrës where the sea force reaches 5-6 points, while at sea, according to sources from the port captaincy, it appears calmer.
The wind that blows in the southeast direction is expected to calm down during the evening hours without causing problems on the two ferries of the Durrës-Bari line that are expected to depart at 23.00. Meanwhile, the “Adriatic Beauty” cruise ship is anchored in the port again.
