Orjola Pampuri: Edi Rama will unilaterally formalize today the appointment of the President of the Republic, which he took out of his pocket yesterday, without any comprehensive and transparent process. The proposal of the candidate for President from the nongrats of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party, stigmatized by the USA for stealing votes in cooperation with organized crime, is a clear proof of the lack of legitimacy of the SP to unilaterally elect the President of the Republic.
The Democratic Party did everything and got involved in the process, with respect for its citizens and its constitutional responsibilities. We did not boycott, I did not hide, we did not make political rhetoric. We tried to build a process that would give Albania a President who represents the unity of the people. Edi Rama did not want a comprehensive process, withdrew from the agreement with the opposition and proved to the Albanians that the conspiracy that he was ready for a consensual President was a public deception.
The legitimation of this one-sided process and the hiding behind the procedural artificialities, ostensibly with a vote against because it is military, is the best service to give the features of democratic normalcy to the regime of Edi Rama. Bajram Begaj can not be denied that he is military, but that it is a personal choice of Edi Rama, in cooperation with the state property mafia. Every different tweet is just a facade to hide the legitimacy of the capture of another independent institution by Edi Rama, exactly by the same individuals who until yesterday accused by slandering their colleagues that they were becoming part of the “farce”.
