The European People’s Party has welcomed the decision of Lulzim Basha to resign from the post of chairman of the Democratic Party.
In a reaction on the social network “Twitter”, PPE writes that the leadership appreciates Basha’s effort, paving the way for a new beginning and unity in the Democratic Party.
“We thank Lulzim Basha for his responsible hp regarding the DP. The Presidency appreciates all his efforts for the country and the party during his leadership, paving the way for a new beginning and unity in the party. “The fight against corruption, the strengthening of the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary must remain high on the Albanian political agenda on its European path”, writes PPE.
