For the second year in a row, Tirana has been announced the winning team of the Albanian Cup in men’s basketball.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, in a reserved reception for the basketball players who challenged Vllaznia before the trophy of this competition, expressed his pride for the white and blue team.
Veliaj: I am very proud of you, not only for the team that is here, but also that of the fans, the fans and all those who give support with so much love, those who work behind the scenes, the doctors, the directors of the club. What we were appreciating is that, despite the fact that many other teams have made endless foreign purchases, what makes the difference in Tirana is that we are a family, we are the boys and girls of Tyrone who grew up here.
