Former soldier Bajram Begaj comes this Sunday to the head of the state, as 4,000 guests will be present at the inauguration ceremony.
According to Top Channel journalist Muhamed Veliu, among those present, there will be chiefs of staff of the NATO armies, with whom Begaj collaborated when he was in charge of the General Staff.
Among the guests there will be doctors, academics and a few politicians. The novelty of this ceremony is the development on the boulevard “Dëshmorët e Kombit” and not at the entrance of the Presidency building.
Both Presidents, the outgoing one and the new President, will take their seats in the stands. The performance of the national anthem will be accompanied by 21 cannon shots, and immediately afterwards the President of the Constitutional Court, Vitore Tusha, will hand over the country’s Constitution to President Begaj.
The new head of state is expected to deliver the speech of the occasion, officially marking Ilir Meta’s departure from office.
