A 36-year-old man was arrested this Thursday in Berat after he was organizing illegal games of chance in the restaurant he owned.
The citizens with the initials EK, resident in the neighborhood “30 Vjetori”, Berat, are charged with “Organizing or exercising gambling activities in violation of the law” and “Making available premises for illegal games”.
Police have seized as material evidence a phone used for placing sports bets.
Although gambling is banned by law in our country, such activities continue to be practiced throughout the country.
