After the end of his testimony regarding the violent events of the January 8 protest, the chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, demanded “the full disclosure and bringing to justice the perpetrators and organizers of the violence.”
Initially, the leader of the Democrats arrived at the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office, after the number two of the blue headquarters, Gazment Bardhi.
Returning to the event, the number one Democrat, said that bloodshed was avoided as they were prepared for any scenario. In his speech, Basha also commented on Sali Berisha’s call to continue the revolution on Sunday in the city of Shkodra.
He said that the DP structures will be on the ground to meet closely with the citizens and strengthen the alliance with them.
According to him, the Democrats have given Sali Berisha the deserved answer and that his calls are to help Edi Rama and to disrupt the structures of the Democratic Party
“It is clear that the real democrats have given the deserved answer to Mr. Berisha’s calls. There are calls to divide the Democrats and to help Edi Rama. We will be on the ground with the Democrats and in the process of preparing to strengthen the alliance with the Albanians and enable free and fair elections“, Stressed Basha.
According to Basha, the former prime minister is ready to do everything and has common goals with Edi Rama.
“Sali Berisha is ready to do everything and in this goal he is united with Edi Rama. They want to set up an anti-American bunker, they are a thing of the past for us“, Said Basha.
The interrogation of Basha and Bardhi comes a day after Sali Berisha and Flamur Noka gave their statements about the January 8 protest. After leaving the Prosecution, Berisha stated yesterday that he had informed the investigators about what he calls Lulzim Basha’s gang inside the headquarters.
According to him, there were armed people in the building that day and the weapons were removed with the car of the leader of the Democratic Party.
He again accused Basha of being a hostage of Rama, as he once again warned of strong protests. The former prime minister did not specify a date for the next protest, but meanwhile declared the resumption of meetings with citizens that will start on Sunday from Shkodra.
