US President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz held a telephone conversation about tensions over Ukraine.
A statement from the White House said that Biden and Scholz discussed the recent talks with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine.
Biden and Scholz reiterated their commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and stressed the importance of transatlantic coordination in diplomatic and preventive efforts against Russia, as well as the strengthening of NATO’s eastern flank in the event of Russian invasion of Ukraine.
