Analyst Carlo Bolino, in an interview with “Open” said that the first target of this attack is the unification of Crimea with Donbas, an independent area between Ukraine and Russia.
According to the analyst, Russia’s biggest fear is the international image, but the fact that today Vladimir Putin has spoken regardless of the way, is positive for both countries.
“So far it seems that it is achieving results, normally it has not yet ended as a combat action. Russia predicted to hold the war for two weeks, but has not yet achieved its goal. She fears the effect of the national image. The fact that he spoke today has shown a care to reduce tension between countries. The fact that he has spoken to him today albeit in aggressive tones, he has spoken and the fleet is affected by this. “This is a precaution to reduce tensions,” said the analyst.
Ukraine was attacked by Russia last Thursday. To date, when the war has reached its eighth day, numerous casualties are being counted on both the Russian and Ukrainian sides.
So far two meetings have been held to reach an agreement to end the ongoing war. In the first session, no compromise was reached, while the meeting held today was more hopeful.
