UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Tuesday that ordinary Ukrainians were inspiring millions with their courage, adding that Britain and its allies were determined to supply arms, impose sanctions and increase pressure on Russia, to withdraw from the occupation of Ukraine.
Johnson made such a statement in response to a speech by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which he delivered in front of British MPs.
He stressed that the United Kingdom will use all possible means until Russian President Vladimir Putin fails in this venture and Ukraine is free “once again”.
This is the 13th day of fighting between Russia and Ukraine. The latter has made a high resistance against Russian troops and bombing.
More than 2 million people have fled Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, according to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and over 11,000 Russian soldiers have lost their lives.
At least 474 civilians, including 29 children, have been killed in Ukraine since the start of the Russian offensive on February 24.
