Former Milan and Roma defender Cafu believes the Reds are the favorites to win the Scudetto this season in Serie A.
Stefano Pioli’s team will face Napoli tonight in a match that could be decisive in the race for the league title this season, with both teams behind Simone Inzaghi’s Inter.
Watching today’s match, Cafu expects an intense match because according to him there are many matches in play and it is still half of the season.
“They were eliminated from the Champions League, but in Serie A they are at the top and can win the Scudetto. Do not think it will be easy for Milan. “On the contrary, I expect a difficult match because both teams have a week to prepare for it,” said Cafu initially.
Discussing the title race, the two-time World Cup winner expects the Reds to come out on top of the championship at the end, winning the title.
“Milan is the favorite. “I played with Inzaghi in the Rome derby when we were still active, he has become a strong, intelligent coach who studies his opponents a lot.”
“He started his career and nobody believed in him, but he has been very good at doing his job slowly with Lazio and growing year after year.”
“Now he can win with Inter, to whom he has given a great game. “He deserves a lot of credit for this first place, because he believes in what he does and leaves nothing to chance”, concluded the Brazilian.
