The star of Inter and Croatia, Ivan Perisic, has emerged as a possible target of the English club, Chelsea.
The Blues are looking for a player who can operate on the left wing alongside Marcos Alonson after Ben Chilwell’s injury.
According to The Mirror, Perisic has played in that position for Inter this season and can also provide coverage on the right, which is to the liking of coach Thomas Tuchel.
The 32-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season and Inter will consider possible offers instead of risking losing him for free over the summer.
Tottenham and Arsenal have also shown interest, but a move to Stamford Bridge would have pleased the player ahead of Chelsea rivals Chelsea.
However, Perisic is still thought to be open to signing a new deal with the Nerazzurri, with whom he signed in 2015, but only if the club has a project that will match his ambitions.
Inter’s difficult financial situation forced them to sell Romelu Lukaku over the summer, and Perisic is keen to know if the club is still serious about challenging for big trophies. / Telegraphy /
