A quantity of drugs, of the cocaine type, was seized this evening in the port of Durrës, inside a container with chicken meat.
The drugs were found in a container that had been transited from Brazil, on behalf of a commercial entity in Northern Macedonia. It is not known whether the amount of cocaine was determined at the place of origin or later between the meat. Police announce that there are a total of 40 packages weighing 45 kg and 500 grams, wrapped in the character of Dragon Ball, Goku.
No perpetrators have been identified or arrested yet, while the Durrës Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into “Narcotics Trafficking”.

Following the successive attacks on the criminal activity of the attempted trafficking of hard drugs, as a result of increased controls, based on the risk analysis made by the Permanent Task Force composed of the Criminal Police of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, Police Durrës Port Border and by the Port customs authorities, which operates in the Port of Durrës, based on the suspicions created by this Task Force and the information available to the Criminal Police of DVP Durrës, a detailed control was exercised in a loaded container with chicken, which had been transited from Brazil, on behalf of a commercial entity in Northern Macedonia.
As a result of the detailed control exercised in the container, 40 packages of suspected cocaine, weighing 45 kg and 500 grams, were found inside the chicken load.
The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecution at the Durrës Judicial District Court, continues the investigative actions to fully document this criminal activity, identify and apprehend the persons involved in it.
The materials will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Durrës Judicial District Court, for the criminal offense “Narcotics Trafficking”.
