The servers of e-albania are out of order and the official reason is a cyber attack.
Hackers of unknown origin have managed to install a program on the network of Albania aimed at taking it under control. It was officially said that the purpose of the hackers is to disable the entire online service.
Since June 1, the Albanian government has closed every office where documents were issued or applications for documents were accepted. Everything had to go through e-albania. But let them take turns. Doctors who issue medical prescriptions with reimbursement should do this service through Albania.
But patients are not receiving this service in full because the prescription system was taken out of order by the closure of e-albania. The system is trying to get it back to work, but until then, patients with diabetes, heart disease or tumors have to wait or buy the medicine in cash. The cadastre office has gone completely out of action, the entire system of property documents is made online by notaries and citizens, but this service cannot be provided until the system is restarted.
Lawsuits cannot be filed, nor can the registration of children in schools. Meanwhile, the business has been completely blocked because the services it received from taxes in coordination with e-albania have gone out of order. In short, almost the vast majority of services that the administration provides to citizens are paralyzed or deficient.
Officially, patience is required and it is said that the services will be restored soon, but there is no deadline as to when e-albania, for which tens of millions of euros have been invested, will return to work. Reliable sources told Top Channel that the hackers have not demanded monetary reward, but it has been observed that there is data deletion. There is still no report on how much this damage is, and the biggest problem is whether the deletion occurred in the tax or property registers in the cadastre.
