I would like to wish you all and once again good work and success in the very important activity of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Albanian Parliament and in fulfilling the irreplaceable role of this committee and the assembly itself in the foreign policy of our country. .

Following the institutional cooperation so far on important foreign policy issues and the debate on the responsibilities we all have before the Albanian people and public opinion, I would like to inform you that the statements of the current Mayor of Tirana, regarding ” intentional blocking of ambassadors ”by the President of the Republic are only deliberate lies, which only aim not to divert the attention of the public opinion from the critical situation in which the country is, from the real problems of the government and its scandals and try to denigrate the Institution of the President of the Republic.

I once again inform you and through you all the public opinion, that the President of the Republic has not rejected, rejected or blocked any proposal of the current government for Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to any country or international organization, on the contrary has been very cooperative and responsible by decreeing in time and in respect of the law the proposals of this government for Ambassadors or Heads of Diplomatic Mission of the Republic of Albania in friendly countries or international organizations.

I would like to inform the Foreign Policy Committee of the Albanian Parliament that I have long communicated with government representatives about the necessary renewal of our diplomatic corps, in respect of the law and the constitution, showing full readiness, cooperation of honesty, constructiveness and transparency.

Expressing my deep regret for the way this important issue has been trampled, politicized and made public unworthily, I think it is in the honor of the Foreign Policy Commission and its members, of its role to irreplaceable in the field of foreign policy, to make this issue not only part of the internal debate, but also of accountability to the government and all those who have the duty to respect the law, to respect the Albanian diplomatic corps and the dignity of to clarify the truth of the malicious statements of the current Mayor of Tirana, and at the same time to immediately unblock the process of proper updating and appointment of Ambassadors and Heads of Missions of Albania in friendly countries and in international organizations where we are accredited.
