The Special Court confiscated the assets of Democrat MP Kasem Mahmutaj as unjustified, following an SPAK property investigation into the assets of his brother Gazmend Mahmutaj, convicted in 1993 on charges of exploiting prostitution in Italy.
In the decision announced by Judge Etleva Deda, 22 properties confiscated from the three Mahmutaj brothers are counted, among which are the properties of the deputy. This decision on the charge of exploitation of prostitution was converted in Albania with eight years in prison in the same year.
