“Connection with crime and corruption”/ After the USA, Berisha affirms: Britain also banned my entry. Here is the letter I received

Berisha read the letter received from the British interior secretary, who forbids him from entering Britain, while also revealing the reasons for this decision.

“A few hours after Edi Rama gave the news about the decision that the government of the United Kingdom would take, I was informed by a letter that the Home Secretary has made the decision not to allow my entry into the UK with the reasoning.

1. That you have clear links to organized crime groups and criminals who have posed a risk to public safety in Albania and the UK and that you are willing to use these links to advance your political ambitions , and

2. For my corruption and enrichment, and the circles of people close to me, where as an example the former adviser for the elections Damir Fazlliç is mentioned, whom, according to their assessment, I defended when incriminating evidence came out against him.

Although, as this decision says, it is confidential and, although the representatives of the UK in Tirana have stated that they will not publish the names, I have made the decision to make them public for the Albanian citizens, before whom I have always been true, with good and bad, I have always fought in defense of their interest, as I have valued it.

Regarding this decision, I would like to clarify the following:

1. This decision is in the wake of the slander for the interests of the same group, which also sponsored Secretary Blinken’s decision, based on the slander and corrupt lobbying of Edi Rama and multibillionaire George Soros. I have been aware of the efforts of State Department diplomats to have international partners join their decision, with absolutely no basis, in order to increase the pressure on me and justify their decision based on slander.

But a lie, no matter how often it is repeated, can be believed, but never the truth, and no power in the world will be able to compel me to accept the lie as the truth, or submit to the deception, for which with evidence, these months, I have argued that it does not aim at the extermination of Sali Berisha, but the return of Albania to a country without opposition, from which all wealth is stripped, and from which Albanians run away from their eyes and feet. This aims to keep in power a government, the most corrupt in Europe, which, by violating the vote of the citizens, has restored complete monism in the country and steals and sacrifices Albania and the Albanians, leads the state to bankruptcy in order to buy and keep power .

As I reiterate once again, that the first moment that the government of the United Kingdom, or any other foreign government or anyone will prove – not lie – a proof and fact of corruption, I will take any decision on myself.

2. Regarding the defamation on which the UK Home Secretary’s decision is based, I am taking them in turn.

First, for the accusation that I have clear connections with organized crime groups and criminals, which I have used for political purposes. This is an accusation that has never been made against me, neither by my opponents nor by any official national or international institution. You are witnesses to the fact that no one other than me has denounced without stopping, without compromise, by name, without taking into account any personal or family danger, the criminals, the organized criminal groups of this country, and their connections with government officials.

No one else in the government has waged a war on organized crime, and has not had the results that I have had, which were a condition for visa liberalization and NATO membership. And no one else in the opposition, with nothing more than an IPad and my word, and above all without any protection, except civic support, has done this.

Today, you cannot find an Albanian who will come out and say which criminal Sali Berisha collaborated with, or which criminal benefited from him, other than prison and public denunciation. Everyone has seen how Edi Rama made them deputies, mayors, police directors, businessmen, strategic investors and, in the end, through the fiscal amnesty, he offers you a big washing machine to wash crime and drug money!

You know who came to power with the help of gangs, and who used them to keep power. Sali Berisha came to power with the vote of the citizens and handed over the power through her, since the only contract I had in my entire career was only with the citizens.

Well, to accuse without mentioning a fact, someone who has never and in no case compromised with crime, while the country under Rama’s government groans under the hoof of gangs, mafia murders, state capture and fusion of power with crime, it does nothing but help him!

Secondly, regarding the businessman Damir Fazlliç. I have never known, nor do I know today, that he has ever been the subject of a criminal prosecution, in the UK where he is a citizen, or in any other country. He was and is an investor, who brought capital to Albania through banks and in full compliance with Albanian and international legislation, as verified by official bodies in the field. Ina Rama’s prosecution, in my opinion for political reasons, which I denounced, opened and conducted investigations against him, at the end of which it could not prove any violation of Mr. Fazlic. And I remind you that, what they were investigating him for. they were not tenders, direct procurements or public money, but the purchase of a private land, with private funds as well.

Damir Fazlliç has never benefited, not even a single penny from me or my government. He continued his business and investments during the Rama government, and if there had been an obstacle to the investigation against him during my government, there was 10 years of time for the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate during the Rama government, but nothing like that happened.

So, the UK authorities, the only concrete case they cite is from 14 years ago, which was placed under investigation without any facts, for regular bank transfers, for which after the investigation, the Prosecutor could not file a lawsuit, because Fazlic had committed everything according to the laws of the country and international ones, and his only fault was that he, with BGR Company, had advised me in the electoral campaign of 2005, from which the ex-communists lost. It is sad that today, after 14 years, this case is used as the only indicator on which the British authorities support their decision.

Let me tell you that, years after the investigation of Ina Rama’s Prosecutor’s Office against Damir Fazllic, with which he could not prove any violation, I visited Great Britain and met the prime minister of this country. I even received congratulations for the reforms undertaken and the fight against crime and corruption. In addition, in the years 2005-2013, with the law enforcement agencies of this country, such as Soca, etc., we had excellent cooperation in the fight against organized crime, including secret operations, which were appreciated by many of them .

3. Any decision based on slander, on corruption, is real support for corruption and crime. Albanians know this better than anyone, who, with the massive support after declaring me non grata, have proven that no one and never will be able to sell them slander and fraud for truth, and political revenge acts as anti-corruption acts , or use them to nominate their party leaders. I invite everyone to ask themselves a question: Why do these attacks and slanders, completely stale and without any basis, come exactly 9 years after Sali Berisha left power?

Why do they come at a time when, under Rama’s government, crime has taken over the state and put an end to Albania, when the country has turned into a drug plantation and where, according to well-known files in the Prosecutor’s Office and OSCE reports, gangs and organized crime buy votes for the rulers?

Why do they come at a time when thugs have taken the mandates of deputies and mayors, when the public is shocked every day by the magnitude of the incinerator affair, of Butrin and the port of Durrës, and hundreds of other corrupt affairs of the most corrupt government in Europe of Edi Rama and, even more from the indifference of justice to investigate it and hundreds of other affairs?

Why do they come at a time when the echo of links with organized crime and criminals, clearly revealed in the interceptions of files 184 and 339 by the Prosecutor’s Office, has not yet been extinguished by German newspapers? The politicians of these interceptions, friends with “problematic chunas”, are today prime minister and ministers.

The irony of fate is that the first to make these decisions public is Edi Rama.

Everyone can choose to answer these questions for themselves, but my answer is that, as I have done until today, I will continue to fight steadfastly to clean the country of crime and corruption, as the only way to save Albania and serve to the interest of its citizens, until the day they believe in Sali Berisha!

In conclusion, I invite the British authorities to hand over to the judicial authorities of their country, and to the judicial authorities of Albania, any facts, evidence or documents that they or anyone else has, for the charges they have brought against me.

For all these defamations, I will consult with experts about the legal steps I will take to protect my honor and dignity and that of my country, as far as I represent it.” – said Berisha, while emphasizing that the letter was addressed to him, and not to his family members.
