The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has started the consultations for the mandate of the new Government with a meeting with the chairman of the Party for Democratic Action, Shaip Kamberi, who is a representative of the Coalition of Albanians of the Valley.
This coalition will have one mandate in the Assembly of Serbia.
Kamberi has said that he wants the integration of Albanians and that participation in the Government of Serbia is not their priority.
“Implementation of the agreements for the Valley, change of laws for minorities and funding for development”, were the demands that we submitted today to President Vucic, wrote Kamberi on Facebook.
He said that the priority of the coalition is the integration in public institutions, those at the local and regional level, the ban on the passivation of addresses, the development fund for the Valley and the amendment of the Law on the flag.
In previous statements to the media, Kamberi has said that in the conversation he will insist on the implementation of the “Seven-Point Plan”, which was approved by the Government of Serbia in 2013, and which mentions numerous problems faced by the Albanian national minority in Serbia. , such as the economic integration of Albanians, the recognition of diplomas, the non-use of insulting expressions towards them.
After leaving the Presidency of Serbia, Kamberi told journalists that the Albanians in Presevo, Bujanoc and Medvegja have not yet been integrated either at the local level of state institutions or in the region.
“Our demand is that the integrations start from the bottom and not from the top of the Government”, said Kamberi, Beta agency reports.
During the day, the President of Serbia is scheduled to meet with the representatives of the minority lists that have won seats in the Serbian Parliament – among them the “Together for Vojvodina – Vojvodina” list and the “Mufti’s Bequest – Party of Justice and Reconciliation” list. led by Usama Zukorliq.
Today, the representative of the Bosnian party, SDA – Sanxhak, Sulejman Uglanin, was also invited to the meeting, but this party has decided not to respond to the invitation, reports the N1 portal.
Vucic will continue the consultations in the next three days.
As reported by the daily newspaper “Danas” on July 10, the parties from the United for the Victory of Serbia list are not united to go to the Serbian president for consultations on the next government.
Earlier, the chairman of the People’s Party, Vuk Jeremiq, announced that the party will not go to consultations with the chairman of the state and the Serbian Progressive Party, Aleksandar Vucic.
In the April 3 elections, the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) won with a large majority in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.
But, for the first time, they will not have enough MPs to form a majority in the Assembly by themselves, for this reason they are forced to do it in a coalition with one of the other parties./rel
